Affordable Housing

One of the Club’s newest committees established in 2020 saw a need in our community for affordable housing. They worked diligently to locate and purchase a building, then making renovations and updates in hopes of offering temporary housing to a family in need. They now oversee two family units.

This program strives to offer a secure and comfortable living environment along with supportive services to families within the Shippensburg Area School District (SASD) who are grappling with housing insecurities. Our mission is to assist families in achieving their financial goals and establishing a foundation of independence allowing them to move on to stable housing. The project involves the help of SASD social workers, Family Centered Services of Shippensburg and the Tri-County Action group.
